Marina Village & Islander Hotel

The construction of the New Islander Hotel will be the crowning jewel of the St. George’s Revitalization Project.  It will bring back to life an important landmark in the City of St. Georges and provide an anchor to the developments proposed along the Blue Lagoon, creating thus a continuous pedestrian system along the waterfront of the City of St. George.

The New Islander Hotel will consist of 100 rooms in a main structure and 26 hill-side bungalows.  The main building of the Islander Hotel will be designed to create a unique architectural landmark that will take the greatest advantage of the beautiful views of the site and, capture the wonderful sea breezes while becoming an icon in the landscape of the city.  The hotel will provide pedestrian linkages to the activities along the Blue Lagoon waterfront, the Spice Island Marina, its amenities and commercial development, and the Blue Lagoon waterfront promenade.

A series of 26 hotel villas or bungalows will be distributed along the hillside to create a unique lodging experience.  These bungalows will be strategically placed on the edges of the hill and integrated with the landscape and natural environment.  With the beautiful views of the ocean and an exciting architectural theme, these bungalows will be a sought after destination in Grenada.

The present vehicular access road to the Islander Hotel will be improved and enhanced and will remain as the main vehicular access to the hotel.   Parking will be provided under the main hotel building.  Enough parking capacity will be provided to meet the demands of the hotel guests and meeting rooms.   It is anticipated that a minimum of 200 parking spaces will be provided for the hotel.
